Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, they say. Well, if you put no effort in grooming yourself then I'm sorry- even staying beautiful needs effort and time. Its undeniable to say that beauty is skin deep.  Yes, but TO A CERTAIN EXTEND. Imagine meeting a girl -  her hair's undone, her legs are unshaved (very hairy!), eyebrows untrimmed, terrible skin, and face filled with zits and blemishes ( I heard you say 'Eww!'). No, I don't wanna imagine. But you get the idea, yes? 

Hence, WE (Yes, I'm being sexually universal. Men and women!) must know that its essential to first learn how to groom our bodies. As important as knowing how to dress up may be, health and hygiene is still my ultimate priority. Because at the end of the day- once you strip all that clothes off your skin, you'd only be in your sexy birthday suit- and you'd want your other half to long for more of your sexy, flawless body ;) Correct me if I'm wrong!

I was astonished when I met Selina, the Director of Face Factors Clinic. She's as flawless as she could be. And trust me, she may be twice my age but she looked so radiant and young- I couldn't believe my eyes. She was donned in little black dress the day I met her and I totally eye-witnessed how guys would get hooked onto her every time she walks by. The power of beauty! A role model that all women should adore. Feel beautiful inside out- life is too short to look ugly! And that's how I was gracefully introduced to Face Factors Clinic. #thestoryofmylife 

Its very rarely that you find a Beauty Clinic that provides services like FaceFactors do. Nonetheless, I was introduced to the Aroma Slimming Scrub. I have always had the 'cellulite' issue regardless of how regularly I work out, which annoys me. I know I'm not the one who's facing this very typical 'girl-problem'. Hence, I tried out the treatment and see how it'd turn out! 

At a certain point of your life, every woman will be faced by problems that plagues most of their lives due to the effects of cellulite. This Aroma Slimming Scrub treatment helps to improve the blood circulation and exfoliates unwanted properties on your skin leaving it feeling soft and supple. 

The scrub treatment will draw out excess water from the region whilst moisturizing the skin's surface. It combines the use of aromatic ingredients that will not only sure your skin feeling firmer but also gives you a peaceful state of mind after the long well-deserved treatment. 

The therapist massaged my entire body with the aromatic essential massage oil as a start. And then, she gently wiped it away and went onto the next step; the aromatic slimming scrub! The whole massage and exfoliation session was approximate a good 30minutes. The sea salt were some moderately fine granules and as she massaged onto my skin with the designated glove, I felt like a snake changing skin- in a good way ;)

My entire body was well-scoured and believe me, you'll long for more after that. I was then wrapped in the Hot Thermal Blanket whilst still being covered with the sea salt ( try imagine). I hate to say this, I've never liked being wrapped around like a dumpling especially in the hot thermal blanket (did I mention it was for a dreadful 30minutes?!). But the aftermath is WORTH IT! Beauty has its price to pay, no? 

I actually feel into a deep slumber. And I was awaken by a terrible daymare (since it was only 3 noon) where (in my dream) I was being thrown into a hot bowl of soup -.- ITS SO SILLY I KNOW. But I guess, its the thermal blanket (LEGIT, IT WAS!). Couldn't help but to laugh at myself while sweating like I just took a dip in the hotspring.

I was treated with a good long massage after getting rid of the thermal blanket. Nonetheless, I could feel my skin was alot firmer and I believe I just produced a bucket full of salty sweat back there. Haha. But, rest assured- it was well worth it. I am definitely looking forward to the Lymphatic Drainage Body Contouring Massage & Parafango Seaweed Wrap! Being constantly exposed to the air-conditioned room and scorching hot weather is no fun ;(

EXCLUSIVE | Miss Universe Malaysia 2013 Finalists Unveiled!

The time that everybody has been waiting for, especially the loyal MUMO fans - its the first week of September and as promised the Miss Universe Malaysia 2013 finalists has just been revealed this morning during their Press Conference held at the Setia Eco Park. A total of 17 hopeful contestants have been shortlisted to be in the running for the Miss Universe Malaysia 2013 title. 

The girls will be living under the same roof, and their daily routines and seasonal challenges will be filmed and then documented, which will then be aired on 8TV later this year as "Beautycamp Season 2". I am feeling their excited for sure! It's going to be a once in a lifetime opportunity for all these hopeful young ladies! Cat fights and dramas may be inevitable, you are afterall living with 16 other girls of different personalities and there will certainly be circumstances where your perspectives and thoughts would clash. Nonetheless, friendship will eventually bond and at the end of the day, you'll leave Beautycamp, a stronger and better person! 

If sure feels like a little devaju while writing this post. Can't believe that a year has flown by; JUST LIKE THAT! 2011 was one of the most exciting and thrilling year that I've ever had. Let's not talk about what's past. There' are so much more opportunities in time to come.

I've gone up-close and personal with the girls and they sure are a bunch of empowering and confident young women. They've proved themselves right by participating in this pageant! Kudos to all of you girls (though they won't be seeing this until they leave Beautycamp). 

Who's your favourite TOP 17 finalists this year? I am as stoked as you are to find out who will Kimberley be handing over the reigning title to! Who will be bagging the Miss Universe Malaysia 2013 coveted crown? Well, whoever that is- may the best girl WINS!

Contagious Rants

Finally a much more personalized post in between all that advertorials. YES! I'm not sure if most of you actually even read my blog (especially wordy posts like the Eversoft and Lion City 2012), well regardless- I am going to proceed with my midnight ranting session. Since its 12.43am right now and I need to be up by 7am for gym tomorrow morning. 

Nonetheless, its been months since I've shared my life experiences on my blog. Its hard to be personal really, especially when people are being so damn judgmental these days. But its not like I should be bothered. I'm just happy with the way I am with things. Watched The Secret documentary the other day, and all that I absorbed from it was 'THE LAW OF ATTRACTION". Funny how I was introduced to it perhaps 10 years ago (yep, and Physics was dreadful I tell you!),  and never realized the the impact of that simple Newton's Law. 

Anyhooots. 

I've been getting alot of questions like "How's the competition coming along?", "Are the girls nice to you?", "Omg babe, how come you never told me you joined!", and the list goes on. LOL you probably don't even know what I'm actually talking about. But yeah, I pulled out from the X TOP MODEL 2012 TOP 10 Finalist. Not because I wasn't interested. Trust me, my heart almost dropped when I received the call saying that I was shortlisted by the Hong Kong board. Like dude, who wouldn't be excited? 

But, duty calls. I really couldn't take SIX LONG WEEKS off my uni. Even Beautycamp was only for a month. And since I'm almost entering third year of uni, things are really getting challenging and there are just so much duties and responsibilities that I have to take in. And SIX WEEKS away from all of that, I just couldn't deal with it. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't upset. But I believe better opportunities would come in the near future. 

I've always believed that studies should come first and it has always been my FIRST priority. I'm sticking with that ;) 

Well, come to think of it. I probably have made the right choice. I have so much more time for myself and to do things that I never thought I would. They say- THERE'S NO SECOND CHANCES. I am not rebutting but there's no harm letting go of something that would perhaps be a leap of even better chances in future. Sacrifices have to be made- and somebody has gotta do it! :) 

Oh and fyi, the girl in the pictures- LOUISE HYDE. We both pulled out from the TOP 10 and we've never looked back since. She's just flown to London to pursue her art course and I've just received a good news that she's booked for the upcoming Pakistan Fashion Week in London. You see what I mean? ;)

Bed's calling. Alarm's gonna go off in about 6 hours from now and I would be deprived of sleep for the rest of my Wednesday. And if I snooze, I'd miss the gym. Enough of my rants. Contagious ;P

Hennessy Artistry Invades KL!

After raising the bar of the ultimate partying experience back in June at Penang's Straits Quay Convention Centre, H-Artistry returns to the heart of Kuala Lumpur for its second installment of 2012's Global Art of Mixing Trilogy! H-Artistry will be happening this 8th September at KWC KL! Ladies and gentlemen, mark your calendars! Your upcoming Saturday is set to be the ultimate way to kickstart the first weekend of September!

We are estimating approximately 3,000 party goers attending as H-Artistry zeroes in Kuala Lumpur's latest wholesale fashion hub. Everyone will be treated to a mix of world class music and of course, the trademark H-Artistry partying atmosphere (no doubt about that!). Not forgetting the Hennessy 360 Cam which is definitely my favourite part of the party. 

Party goes can also enjoy their favourite Hennessy V.S.O.P long drinks at the Hennessy Bars,  where Hennessy Apple, Hennessy Berry ( MY PERSONAL FAVOURITE!) , Hennessy Ginger and Hennessy Soda will be served! (Brain and The Eye). The night will then go on a long haul with the hard-hitting, hipster-worshiped due Mr. Nasty and Guruguru (aka. Bass Agents). 

Fun Fact on Eva Simons: She's best known for her most recent collaboration with Afrojack in the track "Take Over Control, which I'm pretty sure is no stranger to anyone of you. ( well anyhow, we always have the advanced technology called the youtube, no? )
