Laura Mercier has known for their exclusive products for creating flawless faces for "flawless has many faces".  And I have always secretly LOVED and ADORED faces that looked good with minimal amount of makeup. That's what I call 'looking effortlessly good'! If you must agree, that's every girls' dream ;) 

Last month, I was invited to their Grand Opening Launch at Sunway Pyramid and we had the privilege to be one of the first(s) to have a glimpse at their brand new range of products, the Spring/Summer Lingerie Collection.  No doubt, the girls were thrilled and adrenalized with all the cosmetics products that Laura Mercier had welcomed us with. 

We were even more privileged to have Jodi Riley, Hollywood's top make-up artist that flew all the way from The States to give us some tips and tricks on having a "flawless face". It was undeniable that she was indeed skillful and I went home with some good tips that really came in handy ;) Thanks Jodi!

To sum it all, the night was indeed romantic, modern yet feminine with all the beautiful ladies! Also not forgetting to thank MHB for the exclusive invite and Laura Mercier for the goodie bag. I sure am utilizing all the products that they've generously gifted me. ( from their 'Wild Bouquet' blusher, Foundation primer and my favourite 'Nude Lips' lipstick!)

KLCC Fashion Week; What's your style this 2012?

In conjunction with KLCC Fashion Week 2012 happening on the 18th April- 22nd April 2012, I'm rather honored to be selected as one of the lifestyle/ fashion blogger for the running contest ( Have you voted?). This is the 2nd segment of the contest where I'll be expressing my desired style for 2012! 

What's my fashion sense/ style? Here's a little snippet! 

A moody fashionista. I do not believe in "catching-up with the trends" because afterall being stylish doesn't mean being trendy. I tend to think that I have a very casual, simplistic, not over the top yet contemporary sense of style. I wear what I like and I love being comfortable in my outfits because "confidence" is the best accessory one can ever wear. My sense of style has this harmony with my inner self and my attitude, which is really subjective, really. I strongly believe that "Fashion is timeless". 

So girls, remember your attitude is what brings out the fashionista in you! You don't have to be donned in the designer's brand to be fabulous. All you need is attitude, your charisma and a kick of confidence and you're good to go! 

Like what I've said earlier, I am a moody fashionista and I wear whatever I feel like wearing. But when we are needed to acquire to a certain dress code, that doesn't mean you're restricted! Make-up and accessories can really dash up the entire look! Here are a few shots of myself taken (this year) and I'd love to share them with you! 

#1. Casual chic ; Black 

A very simple sheer sleeveless top with denim shorts (hidden) and a pair of stilettos and you're good to go! 

Tips & tricks: Red-lips that portrays the sexy & feminine side of you! Give it a try ;) 

Remember to: First, line your lips with the lip-liner before filling in the red. Red lipstick tends to be a little messy if you go out of the lipline ;) 

#2. Casual chic - White 

Sheer white top with a high waisted denim shorts with flipflops if you'll be taking a long walk! 

Tip & tricks : Just be yourself! Remember, if you're confident in your apparels; that's been you look your best! Lets do the hair flipping ;) 

*flips! Remember CONFIDENCE! 

#3. Accessories! 

The same black sheer top I wore earlier, but I've added a silver chocker to make it a statement. 

Tips & tricks: Its alright to "re-wear" your clothes. We don't expect you to be wearing to same one all the time but try mix & match with the apparels in your wardrobe. You'd be surprised what you can come out with!

#4. Country Girl. 

I absolutely love fedoras! I wore this simple checkered shirt with a denim shorts and completed the look with a pair of my favourite sandals! 

Tips & tricks: Nothing over the top. Simple yet fun! Who said we girls have to wear dresses ALL THE TIME? ;) Have some fun with your boyfriend's shirt and trust me, you'll be surprised how comfortable you are in those shirts! 

Make-up: Something simple with eye-liner, mascara, earth-tone shade eyeshadows and a nude lipstick! Country girls look best naturale ;) 

#5. Floral frenzy 

An off-shoulder floral dress with a pair of heels. 

This was me when I had to go on Bella @ ntv7 for a talk show on "As women, how do we relax and rewind ourselves after a long day at work?" 

Tips & tricks: Girls will never go wrong with floral details dresses. They'll bring out the soft and feminine side of you! And if you ever have to appear on screen, you'd want to wear something bright and striking and not dull colours like grey or light pastel colours. 

Remember: Beauty is skin deep! 

Not everybody has the same taste in terms of style and fashion. If you're not liked by many, just remember how unique and special you are. Be yourself, stay positive and allow people to accept who you really are! I will be sharing even more of my fashion sense/ style (though this is actually my first time sharing it) , I really hope you'd like them!

Recap of how "well" I treated my tummy this week!

Two decades old.

Day 2 of being a 20 year old. Now it seems like burdens are getting heavier and responsibilities are piling up. Not to mention, my assignments that are literally makin' me dysfunctional. Almost had an infarction when I found out that I have FOUR assignments due next week, back to back! -.- 

Getting back to the topic. THANK YOU FOR ALL THE BIRTHDAY WISHES! I wouldn't say my birthday was magical or anyhow a great celebration. But it was indeed warm & sweet; spent with my closest ones. I wouldn't deny the fact that birthday parties are irresistibly fun, but the time spent on organizing and the moolah spent on the invitations, food, drinks etc; I cannot bear the burden. Haha. Maybe next year, a big one for my 21st - entering adulthood ( boy oh boy!) 

But one thing for sure: MY BLOGPOST WILL BE FILLED WITH GREAT QUALITY PICTURES BECAUSE BECAUSE BECAUSE I FINALLY GOT MY S100! ( Damn, lucky or what. I was just bragging about not having a proper camera for events, parties etc in my previous posts) 

I DID NOT LET MONDAY RUIN MY BIRTHDAY; that's for sure. Went to Italiannies @ Empire for a simple dinner with Mr.Billy.

My 2 hours old camera, unfortunately died on me because I was so excited with it that  I couldn't get my hands off it and BATTERY DIED. But again, THANK GOD FOR POLAROIDS!

Nonetheless, the day ended with a good book in hand and a reliable shoulder to lie on. Some say birthday is just 'another day' as you grow older, I tend to think otherwise. Its a day where you celebrate the birth of the wonderful YOU and the day when you thank your mother for all the hardship that she's gone through. Positivity all the way. Before I return (next year) with a birthday post, just wanna say THANK YOU FOR ALL THE BIRTHDAY WISHES xx

FMFA 2012 : Polaroids

Yet another unforgettable night at Future Music Festival Asia 2012! The first ever music festival that I've attended and I must say, IT WAS DOPE! Not forgetting the 12hours non-stop performing acts at four different stages. A job well done, Live Scape Asia!

The only bummer of the night was the fact that I did not have a camera in hand. Have yet to get myself a Canon S100.  BUT THANK GOD FOR MY POLAROIDS! Otherwise, its gonna be just 'another night' that I'll probably forget 10 years down the road :P Nonetheless, it was good catching up with a couple of friends. Met up with Juanita and Aaron & a few others later during the night.

One complain though: WHY ARE POLAROID FILMS so darn expensive?! Close to RM30 per pack- 10 films each :/ More reasons to get my S100 ( Well, if you're wondering.. I DO have 2 DSLRs at home, D90 and EOS40D but the problem with DSLRs- they're too heavy to be carried around and I cant bear the bruises on my neck/shoulders anymore). Hence, my decision to actually get a compact camera with great effects! Soon soon ;)

Happenings of the night of Future Music Festival Asia @ Sepang International Circuit.

Party actually started as early as 11am because it was also ST. PATTY'S! Went over to a friend's crib for lunch and I was already tipsy by the end of it. The entire meal was alcohol-fied! -.- Ended up going home for a short nap to curb the "pre-hangover". I can never enjoy myself when drunk. Hence, NO ALCOHOLS FOR ME! NEVER! ;) 

Headed over to Sepang at 5.30pm, all prepped up. Apparently Flo Rida's act was the best and we missed it. Nothing to lose, we had Tinie Tempah towards the end of the night ;) *cues Tinie Tempah's Written in the Stars
